Nicole E. Billings joined the law firm of Tuft & Arnold in August of 2009 as a law clerk and was promoted to associate attorney in May of 2010. Ms. Billings graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in May of 2009.

Prior to law school, Ms. Billings graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa. She has seven years of Social Work experience, primarily in the area of Child Welfare. As a Social Worker, Ms. Billings gained experience in the Juvenile Court system through participating in hearings as a petitioning party for the State of Iowa, and by drafting and filing motions, requesting exparte removal orders, testifying, and filing reports.

During law school, Ms. Billings gained experience in Family Law, Immigration and Criminal Law. In the area of Family Law, Ms. Billings was a student Intern for Tuft & Arnold and an Intern for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. In 2008, Ms. Billings obtained a student clerkship with the Immigration Court in Bloomington. In the area of Criminal Law, Ms. Billings externed with the Anoka County Public Defenders office, and the Prosecutor for the city of Edina. Additionally, Ms. Billings clerked for the office of Halberg Criminal Defense, working primarily in the areas of DUI and Theft cases.
