Letty M-S Van Ert joined the law firm of Tuft & Arnold in 2007 as a law clerk. Ms. Van Ert received her bachelor's degree in English, Spanish/Portuguese, and International Relations from the University of
Minnesota (Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude). She will graduate from William Mitchell College of Law in May of 2008. During law school, Ms. Van Ert was chosen to compete in the nationwide negotiation competition and is currently serving as an Editor on the Law Review. She was also awarded the Esther J. Tomljanovich Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Prior to joining Tuft & Arnold, Ms. Van Ert worked in the area of criminal law for more than six years. Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, Ms. Van Ert now resides in the Twin Cities with her husband, dog, and two cats.
