October 2009: Law clerk Nicole Billings was sworn in to the Minnesota Bar on October 30th, 2009, by Chief Justice Eric Magnuson.

October 2009:  Thomas Tuft is featured in the news blog of Minnesota Lawyer, the leading news publication for Minnesota lawyers.  The entry reports on the 2009 annual conference of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, referred to as Divorce Camp.
 
Thomas Tuft Named Top 40 Family Law Superlawyer®
January 2010:  Thomas Tuft has been named to the list of Top 40 Family Law Superlawyers® in Minnesota.  This is the fifth consecutive year he has been named to this list.  In addition, he has been named to the list of Top 100 Superlawyers overall in Minnesota for the past two years.  He will be among the attorneys featured in the February edition of the Journal of Law and Politics
 
Thomas Tuft Co-Chairs Conference

October 2009: Thomas Tuft served as co-chair of the annual conference of the Minnesota Chapter of the American of Matrimonial Lawyers along with Susan Rhode of Moss & Barnett. The event was held October 1-3 at Breezy Point Resort.  The conference, called Divorce Camp, brings together professionals involved in all aspects of family law, including judges, lawyers, psychologists, and financial experts.  Chief Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court Eric Magnuson was the keynote speaker.

Nicole Billings Completes Mediation Training
September 2009: Nicole Billings completes the civil and family mediation trainings that are certified by the Minnesota Supreme Court Office of Education.  Ms. Billings is now Rule 114 qualified to do civil and family mediations, as well as parenting time expediting.
 
Scott Rodman Featured in Minnesota Lawyer
August 2009: Scott Rodman is featured in an article in Minnesota Lawyer Magazine identifying him as one of the leaders among young family law attorneys.  Scott Rodman co-founded an organization for family law attorneys under the age of 40 to promote collegiality amongst family law attorneys.  This organization was featured in the article.
 
Thomas Tuft Appointed to Statewide Committee
August 2009: Thomas Tuft has been appointed to Statewide Early Case Management/Early Neutral Evaluation Steering Committee.  This Committee of judges, lawyers, and court administrators is charged with implementing the Judicial Branch strategic plan on early case management.  Pilot projects throughout the state have been successfully implemented with high settlement rates early in cases saving the court system and families from the stress and high cost of drawn out proceedings.
 
Nicole Billings Joins Firm

August 2009: Nicole Billings has joined the firm as a law clerk.  She is a 2009 graduate of William Mitchell College of Law and is awaiting the results to the bar examination due in October.  She has a B.A. and M.S.W. in social work from the University of Northern Iowa.

She will work in the areas of family law and juvenile law.

 
Christina Tollefson Joins Firm
August 2009: Christina Tollefson has joined the firm as a paralegal/receptionist.  She has a B.A. from the University of Minnesota in psychology and a paralegal certificate from North Hennepin Community College.
